The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has completed and officially opened the newly constructed mosque in Noonu Manadhoo.

The mosque was inaugurated by the State Minister for Islamic Affairs, Uz Abdullah Saudhan, during a special ceremony held on the island. The new facility can accommodate up to 700 worshippers.

The project was funded through the state budget and contracted to Afami Maldives.

According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, efforts are underway to expedite mosque development across the country. The ministry noted that work is progressing at an accelerated pace, with 15 mosques scheduled to be opened before the month of Ramadan as part of ongoing efforts to improve religious infrastructure nationwide.
