President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has introduced official reference numbers to a range of Government agencies, aimed at streamlining communication across the public sector.

The move covers all State schools, healthcare institutions, and centres providing social and family protection, alongside cultural and research bodies such as the Maldives Marine Research Institute, the National Museum, and the National Art Gallery.

The allocations, detailed in Directive No. 19/2025 and published on the President’s Office website, are designed to standardise correspondence across the public sector.

Under the directive, all Government offices are required to use the newly assigned numbers when engaging with these agencies, ensuring greater clarity and efficiency in official exchanges.
