The Maldives Airports Company Limited has introduced temporary traffic changes at Velana International Airport to facilitate roof works.

In a statement, MACL said the Terminal 2 area will be closed daily from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting tomorrow until the 30th of this month, during which traffic flow will be adjusted.

Under the changes, taxis transporting passengers from the domestic terminal will operate from Departure Gates 1 and 2 of Terminal 1, while the taxi stop at Terminal 2 will remain closed during the repair period. MTCC buses will pick up and drop off passengers at the bicycle parking bus stop on the western side of the airport.

MACL internal bus services will also be adjusted, with Route 1 (ATC bus) terminating at the departure gate of Terminal 1, while Route 2 services will begin from the front of Terminal 2.

The company said the temporary measures will only apply during repair hours and confirmed that bus schedules will remain unchanged, urging the public to take note of the revised arrangements.
