President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Government is committed to developing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and strengthening businesses at all levels.

The President made the remarks at the opening of a meeting with SMEs held on Wednesday night. In his brief opening remarks, President Dr Muizzu invited business owners to openly share their concerns, ideas and suggestions.

He said that the views and discussions raised by members of the business community would be of significant value, noting that the Government’s policy direction is focused on promoting business development.

“The Government is working to formulate policies that support small and medium enterprises and businesses at all levels,” the President said.

The meeting marks the first time a sitting President has held a dedicated forum to directly hear the concerns, discussions and views of business owners. Similar to the President’s public meetings with residents, business representatives are being given the opportunity to speak freely and directly to the President.
