A total of 85 metres of sheet pile installation has been completed as part of the second phase of the Malé Northside Boduthakurufaanu Magu Development Project.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said reclamation works are currently underway, while upgrades to the water and wastewater network are scheduled to be completed by next week. Other ongoing works include the construction of building-side pavements, installation of stormwater catch pits, and cable junction installations, all of which are also expected to be finished by next week.

The project is expected to significantly improve accessibility in Malé City by developing modern, pedestrian-friendly roads that enhance safety and mobility for residents and visitors alike.
