The Creator Hub in Malé City, developed by Business Centre Corporation (BCC), is scheduled to officially open on 11 November, marking a key milestone in the Government’s efforts to strengthen the creative economy and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The facility, developed as part of a Cabinet-endorsed initiative, is intended to provide a centralised space for Maldivian artisans, craftsmen and small businesses to operate under one roof. The project aligns with broader Government policy aimed at expanding opportunities within the creative and entrepreneurial sectors.

During his Presidential Address, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu highlighted the role of SMEs in diversifying the national economy. The President later stated that the Creator Hub represents an important step towards creating an enabling environment for creative entrepreneurs, noting that the facility will house designated workspaces for artisans and craftsmen, BCC’s SME consultancy services, business spaces, and an Authentic Maldives retail outlet. According to the President, sheet work on the eighth floor of the building has been completed, with final preparations underway.

The 11-storey Creator Hub has been designed as a shared workspace equipped with resources to support the development of creative industries. BCC said it has engaged with stakeholders from across the creative sector through consultation forums to ensure the facilities and services provided reflect the practical needs of users.
