The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced operating hours for commercial shops and food and beverage establishments during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, in line with annual adjustments made for public convenience.

According to the Ministry, food and beverage service providers will be permitted to operate daily from 5:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. throughout Ramadan. During the first seven days of Shawwal, food and beverage outlets may operate from 4:30 a.m. until 3:00 a.m.

Commercial shops will be allowed to operate from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. during Ramadan and throughout the first seven days of Shawwal.

The Ministry noted that service hours are adjusted annually during Ramadan to reflect changes in public routines, with many food and beverage outlets suspending daytime operations during fasting hours.

According to the Islamic calendar, the first day of Ramadan is anticipated to fall on 18 February.
