The President’s Office has announced that nominations for this year’s National Awards will open on Wednesday, 25 March, and close at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, 30 April.

Nominations will be accepted across 39 primary categories. Individuals, companies, associations, and other entities may submit applications either on their own behalf or for others. Submissions do not require endorsement through a Government agency, and Government institutions as well as independent bodies are also eligible.

This year, all applications must be submitted through the President’s Office online portal. The National Awards Committee has advised applicants to ensure that all required documents are submitted together with the application.

The awards will be presented at the official function held to mark National Day.

Last year, 13 recipients were conferred National Awards by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during the National Day ceremony.

Following the close of nominations, the committee will open applications for the National Award for Public Service on 6 May.
