Mohamed Lam’aan has been appointed as an executive member of the Board of Directors of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), following the removal of Ibrahim Ziyath from the position.
Lam’aan’s appointment was made on behalf of the Privatization and Corporatization Board. He brings extensive experience in the management of State-owned enterprises in the Maldives, most recently serving as Deputy Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), where he played a key role in strengthening operational and management functions.
He has previously held several senior positions across State-owned companies, including serving as Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, and as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Procurement Officer at Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).
Lam’aan has experience in corporate governance, project management and leadership. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colombo.
