State Pharmaceutical and Medical Supply Corporation Limited is set to open a new pharmacy at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital to improve access to medicines, as part of broader reforms to strengthen the national pharmaceutical system. From July 1, all pharmacies, including those under the State Trading Organization, will be centralised under State Pharma. The company is also introducing a real-time digital stock system, importing hard-to-find medicines, and operating a 24-hour call centre to reduce shortages and improve nationwide access to essential drugs.
