First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has stated that kindness and encouraging words form an important part of treatment for individuals living with thalassaemia, in a message shared to mark International Thalassaemia Day, observed annually on 8 May. In her social media post, the First Lady urged the public to show compassion towards people affected by the condition and highlighted the importance of community support in improving their wellbeing.
