President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to resume his series of community meetings from June as part of efforts to engage more closely with the public.

Speaking at a press conference held on Monday, the President said he will meet residents from different neighbourhoods in the Greater Malé area, visit islands and hold discussions with people involved in various sectors and industries.

He noted that the meetings will be conducted as frequently as possible to hear public concerns and gather feedback directly from communities.

President Dr Muizzu said listening closely to the concerns of citizens remains an important part of his governing policy, adding that such discussions play a major role in shaping Government policies and decisions.

He also stated that the meetings aim to provide updates on Government projects and ensure greater transparency regarding ongoing work and national initiatives.

The President had previously conducted similar meetings with residents in the Greater Malé area following the commencement of his administration.
