Eighth Teachers' Conference scheduled for September 12 to 13

The International Teachers' Conference, held once every two years, has been scheduled to take place from 12 to 13 September this year.

This year's event will mark the eighth edition of the conference.

The conference will be held under the theme, "Reimagine, Rethink, Reform: Advancing Innovation for an Equitable and Resilient Future."

The National Institute of Education (NIE) has stated that the conference will accept submissions in the form of research papers, concept papers, review papers and posters.

The deadline for submitting abstracts in both English and Dhivehi is 12 July.

Abstracts may be submitted under a number of thematic areas, including equity, inclusion and social justice in education; 21st century learning curricula, pedagogy and assessment; educational leadership and policy; teacher training, professional development and agency; artificial intelligence, STEAM and digital pedagogy; wellbeing, social and emotional learning, and resilience; Islam, Dhivehi language and culture, and responsible citizenship; as well as comparative education and lifelong learning.

The NIE stated that the conference provides an opportunity for stakeholders across the education sector to contribute to efforts aimed at reimagining education and shaping a future-oriented education system
