Four people have been taken into police custody after officers responding to a report of an altercation at an apartment in Hulhumalé Phase 1 found several empty alcohol bottles at the scene.

Police said officers responded to the apartment at around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday after receiving the report. The four detainees are two Maldivian women, aged 26 and 29, and two Maldivian men, aged 24 and 34.

Authorities revealed that the apartment was searched and several empty alcohol bottles were recovered. Officers also examined the premises and collected evidence for the investigation.

The case remains under police investigation.
