The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has extended the application deadline for its higher education scholarship programme until 15 July.

The scholarships are available for bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes at universities in Malaysia.

The opportunities include a Bachelor of Accounting at Selangor Islamic University, Master of Laws and Master of Economics at the International Islamic University Malaysia, and PhD programmes at INCEIF University in Islamic Finance and Applied Communication (Economics and Finance).

The MMA said selected candidates will receive full financial support, including tuition fees, living expenses, book allowance, establishment and departure allowances, as well as visa costs and health insurance.

Recipients will also be required to serve in the Maldives for five years after completing their studies under the scholarship bond.
