Seven students have been awarded the President's Scholarship this year after achieving the highest results in the higher secondary examinations.

The prestigious scholarship is awarded to students who obtain A* grades in five subjects, including Dhivehi and Islam. This year's recipients include four students from the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Hulhumalé and one student each from Villa High International School, Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya, and Gnaviyani Atoll Education Center.

The scholarships were presented by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during the High Achievers' Awards ceremony held to recognise the students' outstanding academic achievements.

The recipients are Aishath Nabeeha Ameen, Leen Ahmed Thariq, Yasha Shafee Shafeeq, and Ali Maaish Mufeed from CHSE Hulhumalé, Hussain Yameen from Villa High International School, Aishath Leen Abdulla from Gnaviyani Atoll Education Center, and Lail Hussain Hameed from Al-Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya.
