President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Malé following the conclusion of his official visit to the State of Qatar, after paying respects to the Qatari leadership and Royal Family following the passing of former Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
During the visit, President Dr Muizzu was received by Amir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The President conveyed condolences on behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, while the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
The President’s Office said the visit reflects the importance the Maldives places on its longstanding friendship and cooperation with Qatar.
