The Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare has reviewed preliminary findings from an elderly needs assessment as part of efforts to develop a national long-term care strategy under the Asian Development Bank-funded Strengthening Gender Inclusive Initiatives Project.

The findings were discussed during a meeting of the project's Technical Working Group, where members also shared recommendations to support the development of a comprehensive and sustainable long-term care strategy aimed at meeting the evolving needs of older persons in the Maldives.
