The Maldives Police Service and Saudi Arabia have discussed potential cooperation with King Fahd Security College to provide specialised training for Maldivian police officers.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed and Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives Yahya Al-Qahtani at Police Headquarters in the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Maldives Police Service and Saudi Arabia.

Discussions focused on expanding training opportunities and enhancing the technical capacity of the Maldives Police Service. The two sides also explored cooperation with King Fahd Security College, one of Saudi Arabia's leading security and law enforcement training institutions.

They further discussed collaboration in combating organised crime and narcotics, as well as conducting specialised training programmes in road safety and criminal investigations. The meeting also reviewed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand future cooperation between the two countries.
