The Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) have partnered to strengthen coral reef restoration and monitoring through a new memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Under the agreement, MMRI will provide technical expertise and guidance for HDC's coral reef restoration initiatives, while HDC will support coral reef monitoring and scientific conservation efforts. The partnership aims to enhance the restoration and long-term monitoring of the Maldives' coral reef ecosystems.
