Aasandha has expanded its regional service network with the opening of eight new service counters, increasing the availability of over-the-counter services to residents across 11 atolls.

The new counters have been established in Raa Ungoofaaru, Baa Eydhafushi, Lhaviyani Naifaru, Alifu Dhaalu Mahibadhoo, Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo, Laamu Gan, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo and Fuvahmulah City. Aasandha stated that the additional service points are intended to make it easier for people in the atolls to access services without travelling to other islands.

Residents will be able to submit applications for medical assistance, obtain information on Aasandha services and complete administrative procedures related to the national health insurance scheme at the new counters. Before the latest expansion, regional Aasandha counters were available only in Malé, Hulhumalé, Faafu Nilandhoo, Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi City.

In addition to expanding its physical service network, Aasandha has introduced the MyAasandha Portal, through which patients can apply for a range of services online. The corporation said most Aasandha services are now accessible through the portal in efforts to improve access to its services.
