Staff from the Addu and Fuvahmulah Nature Parks, councils, contractors, and partners have completed training on the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) ahead of planned refurbishment works.

The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy said the training will help ensure environmental safeguards, stakeholder engagement and grievance procedures are incorporated throughout the project. The initiative was supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Maldives, Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) and Australian Aid (AusAID).
