The Government has strongly condemned the attempted drone attacks targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and the capital, Riyadh.

In a statement, the Government described the attacks as a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as a serious threat to regional peace, security and stability.

The Maldives reaffirmed its solidarity with the Government and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia, underscoring its continued support for all measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

The Government also reiterated the Maldives’ commitment to supporting efforts that promote peace, stability and security in the region.
