The Bank of Maldives (BML) has been announced as the Official Banking Partner for Rashu Expo, an event focused on promoting island tourism and local culture.

The expo, set to take place from February 13 - 15, at Hulhumalé Central Park, will bring together island councils, guesthouses, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their products and services.

Commenting on the partnership, Moosa Nimal, Chief Business Officer of BML, emphasised the bank’s commitment to supporting local initiatives:

“We are proud to be a part of an event that reflects the interest of our community. Our hope is that the Expo will play a significant role in connecting businesses with the public.”

The participation of BML, the country's largest financial institution, underscores the growing importance of the tourism sector in the Maldives. Dr Hussain Sunny Umar, Director of The Travel Guys, highlighted the significance of the bank’s involvement:
