Foreign Minister set for high-level Sri Lanka visit

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, will embark on a four-day official visit to Sri Lanka starting today, following an invitation from Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, H.M. Vijitha Herath.
During his stay from February 18 to 21, Minister Dr Khaleel is scheduled to meet with Sri Lanka's top leadership, including President Anura Kumara Disanayake and Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya. The visit will feature formal discussions with Minister Herath to strengthen bilateral relations.
The Foreign Minister's agenda includes engaging with the Maldivian diaspora in Sri Lanka and meetings with the country's private sector to explore potential partnerships across various industries.
The Minister will be accompanied by a delegation comprising Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya and Additional Secretary Aminath Abdulla Didi from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
