Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

During the meeting at the President's Office, the OIC Secretary General commended the Maldives as one of the organisation's most distinguished member states. He expressed particular pride in the country's institutional progress and the significant achievements it has made within the OIC framework.

President Dr Muizzu, in turn, conveyed his gratitude for the OIC’s unwavering support of the Maldives over the years. He praised the organisation’s steadfast leadership and reaffirmed his Government’s full commitment to strengthening cooperation with the OIC in various fields of mutual interest.

The discussions concluded with both leaders reiterating their dedication to advancing collaborative efforts, underscoring their shared objective of promoting the welfare of the Islamic community globally.
