The three-day summit brought together relevant authorities and stakeholders for in-depth discussions on strengthening cybersecurity to enable secure digital transactions through internationally standardised digital IDs to establish a data exchange layer to facilitate timely and secure information sharing between state institutions.

The summit also explored the development of a sovereign cloud for the safe storage and archiving of sensitive Government data; delivering citizen-centric services through digital platforms; nurturing a tech-savvy generation; and expanding opportunities for Maldivians and local businesses in the ICT sector.

The event concluded with a presentation of the summit’s key outcomes, followed by the ‘Ceremonial Conferral of the National Digital Commitment to the President’ presented by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan.
