The fifth session of the Ahaa forum, a public engagement platform featuring members of the Cabinet, is scheduled to take place tonight, May 12, at 09:00 p.m.
Five ministers have been confirmed to participate in this edition of the forum. They include:
• Ali Ihusaan, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology
• Dr Ismail Shafeeu, Minister of Education
• Ahmed Shiyam, Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources
• Uz Ahmed Usham, Attorney General
• Dr Maryam Mariya, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare
The Ahaa forum is a two-hour live event and part of the Government’s broader initiative to promote transparency and accountability. It provides the public with a direct channel to engage with Ministers, offering an opportunity to learn more about their work and pose questions in real time.
Members of the public can participate by attending in person or submitting questions through phone calls, SMS, or social media. To send questions via SMS, participants are required to text “AH,” followed by a space and their question, to 300.
In addition to the Ahaa forum, the Administration has launched other public engagement initiatives. These include a separate forum featuring President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and a podcast series titled Rayyithunaa Eku.
