Zeena tops the Committee’s list for appointment to Broadcom

The Parliament’s Committee on Independent Institutions has selected five candidates for appointment to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission.
The resignation of the former Vice President, Mohamed Fazeen, follows the process of appointing members to Broadcom.
A total of 10 candidates applied for the post, and President Dr Mohamed Muizzu submitted the names to Parliament in the order he deemed most suitable.
After reviewing the matter, the committee decided to forward the names of five candidates to the Parliament. These candidates were selected based on having received the highest scores.
The five candidates are:
- Zeena Zahir – 85.13 per cent
- Aishath Shiyana – 83 per cent
- Shimla Ahmed – 82 per cent
- Moosa Rilwan – 81 per cent
- Zam’ath Ahmed Waheed - 77.50 per cent
The committee’s proposed list will be finalised through a vote in Parliament.
