MTCC launches ferry services to Kudagiri Picnic Island

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has launched ferry services to Kudagiri Picnic Island.
With the launch of the ferry service from Malé to Kudagiri, tickets can now be booked through the MTCC’s website.
MTCC launched a ferry service with a passenger capacity of 140, with six trips between Malé and Kudagiri on Fridays and Saturdays. MTCC also plans to introduce ferry trips from Hulhuamale to Kudagiri.
MTCC has scheduled three ferry trips in the morning and evening. Morning departures from Malé are set for 6:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 9:30 a.m., while ferries will depart from Kudagiri at 4:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
Kudagiri is designed as a recreational getaway for residents of the greater Malé area, equipped with essential facilities. The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is actively working to enhance these amenities to ensure access to quality services on the island.
HDC revealed that a total of 54,724 individuals have visited Kudagiri within the past two years, with customer satisfaction recorded above 70 per cent.
HDC aims to continuously improve the quality of services provided at Kudagiri Picnic Island.
