President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Moosa Rilwan of as a member of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission, in line with Section 6(a) of the Broadcasting Act (Act No. 16/2010).

The appointment follows the People’s Majlis' approval of Rilwan’s nomination.

Rilwan holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations, awarded in 2016. With experience in media operations and management dating back to 2009, he brings significant expertise to the role.

Beyond the media sector, Rilwan has contributed to various national development initiatives in partnership with government ministries and international agencies. His work includes involvement in the nationwide water and sewerage project Fennaaru, the Maldives Urban Development and Resilience Project, and the Strengthening Low Carbon Energy Island Strategies (LCEI) project.
