The Department of National Registration (DNR) has inaugurated a new office in Hulhumalé Phase 1, marking a significant milestone in the decentralisation of ID card services across the Maldives.

The new facility is located on the ground floor of the Umar Zahir Office Building in Hulhumalé, Phase 1.

Speaking at a recent ceremony in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to delivering high-quality public services. The Minister highlighted the President’s directive to prioritise the timely and efficient provision of ID card services, even in remote and challenging locations by 2025.

This initiative reflects the Government's dedication to enhancing safety, security, and convenience for all Maldivians. By reducing reliance on Malé for such essential services, the decentralisation effort aims to improve accessibility for citizens nationwide.
