Three people were injured in two separate accidents that occurred on the Sinamalé Bridge on Wednesday night, according to the Maldives Police Service.

The first accident was reported at 9:48 p.m. and involved a collision between two motorcycles behind a parked car on the bridge. Police said the incident occurred when one motorcycle rear-ended another, causing it to crash into the parked vehicle. Two individuals were injured in this collision.

Shortly after the first incident, a second accident occurred as traffic had slowed in the area. A motorcycle crashed into the back of a car, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist.

Police confirmed that all three injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment. Investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
