President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has described this year’s Hajj Pilgrimage arrangements as exemplary, highlighting a new level of comfort and efficiency for Maldivian pilgrims, during Episode 7 of the Rayyithunnaa Ekupodcast.

The President noted that, under the newly implemented Makkah Route Initiative, pilgrims can now proceed directly to their hotels upon arrival. He also outlined improved facilities in Mina and high-speed rail transport between Makkah and Medina, reducing travel time to just two hours.

These enhancements were made possible through close cooperation with the Saudi Arabian government. President Dr Muizzu expressed gratitude to the Saudi King and Crown Prince, calling the gesture a reflection of the strong bilateral ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

The President urged citizens to celebrate Eid in accordance with Islamic values.
