MMTV has announced the winners of its prestigious Shifa’un wa Rahma Quran recitation competition, held during the holy month of Ramadan 1435.

The event celebrated excellence in Quranic recitation across five age categories, with top participants honoured during a prize-giving ceremony.

The top 10 participants in each category received certificates of appreciation, gifts, and cash prizes. Those placing fourth to tenth received MVR 2,000 each. Third-place winners were awarded MVR 5,000, while second and first-place winners received MVR 7,000 and MVR 10,000 respectively.

The competition was adjudicated by esteemed lecturers from the Maldives Islamic University: Al Qari Ibrahim Shifau (Assistant Judge), Al Qari Ibrahim Ramzy, and Al Qaria Fathimath Rashidha. Al Qari Ibrahim Shareef also served as a special judge.

According to MMTV, the aim of the competition is to nurture a Quran-loving society and to deepen the love of the noble Quran in the hearts of Maldivians.
