The Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom) has opened applications for the position of Secretary General, a five-year appointment within the institution’s senior management.

The position offers a monthly salary of MVR 25,000, along with a living allowance of MVR 15,000 and a phone allowance of MVR 700. BroadCom stated that the role carries significant responsibility and requires strong leadership and administrative capabilities.

Applicants must meet specific educational and professional experience criteria. Candidates with qualifications above Level 9 on the National Qualifications Framework are required to have at least two years of relevant experience. Those with a master’s degree must have a minimum of three years’ management experience, while applicants with Level 7 or Level 8 qualifications must demonstrate at least five years of experience in a managerial role.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with senior management and executive-level staff and must be capable of working closely with professional, administrative, and technical teams. Fluency in both Dhivehi and English is required.

Applicants will be assessed through an interview process during which they must demonstrate their qualifications and understanding of financial management in line with State financial regulations. Candidates are also expected to have a solid grasp of employment laws and regulatory frameworks.
