The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has officially launched its in-house trainers pool as part of a new initiative aimed at enhancing employee development and internal capacity building.

The programme was inaugurated on June 24 by STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy. The initiative seeks to utilise the expertise, skills, and experience of existing staff to deliver tailored training and upskilling opportunities to employees across the company.

A total of 35 STELCO employees have now been certified as trainers, having successfully completed the internationally recognised ‘Train the Trainer’ programme. Individuals from departments including engineering, technical services, administration, human resources, media, security, and public relations were formally awarded training licences at the launch event.

As part of the initiative, a handwritten training manual was also unveiled, outlining the structure and content of upcoming internal training sessions led by the trainers pool.

The trainers pool represents STELCO’s broader commitment to strengthening internal knowledge-sharing and professional development. Company officials confirmed that plans are underway to further expand the programme by certifying additional staff, including trainers, at the international level.
