Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, has described the pursuit of knowledge as the most valuable investment an individual can make, one that fosters both personal growth and national development.
He made these remarks while addressing the 2025 graduation ceremony of MAPS College, where he was invited as the guest of honour.
In his speech, the Minister acknowledged the many challenges students face in pursuing higher education, emphasising the importance of perseverance, personal sacrifice, and the support of teachers and mentors. He praised the graduates’ achievements as a reflection of their discipline, resilience, and the encouragement they received.
Minister Adam Shareef noted that learning is among the most demanding of human pursuits, requiring greater endurance and focus than many other endeavours.
