The Government will begin signing agreements next week with recipients of 4,000 housing units currently under development by the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC), according to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.

Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib announced the development during the Sixth Edition of the Ahaa Forum forum held on July 14. He emphasised the scale of the undertaking, noting that formalising agreements with such a large number of allottees presents a considerable logistical challenge. Nonetheless, he stated that the Administration is committed to streamlining the process in order to ensure it is accessible and efficient for all parties involved.

To facilitate the upcoming signing process, the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is currently constructing a dedicated facility for the project. The Minister explained that site preparations are already underway, with the objective of completing the necessary arrangements within the week to enable the timely commencement of agreement signings.

Building on this, Minister Dr Muththalib expressed strong confidence in the Government’s readiness to begin the process as scheduled. He indicated that all efforts are being aligned to ensure the initiative proceeds without delay.

In addition to finalising agreements, the Minister underscored that expediting the handover of completed units remains a priority for the Administration. As part of this effort, construction has already started on critical infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, and sewer systems.
