President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in London to take part in a series of high-level engagements. 

He was welcomed upon arrival by Major Jeremy Fern T.D., Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London and Special Representative of The King; Gordon Wetherell CMG, Special Representative of the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs; Nicholas David Low, UK High Commissioner to the Maldives; and Iruthisham Adam, Maldivian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

During his visit, President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to engage in meetings and discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas, including climate action, governance, trade, investment, and education. 

As part of his visit, the President will also participate in a business forum in London, highlighting opportunities for investment and economic collaboration.

The visit comes as the Maldives and the United Kingdom celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations this year. The visit is expected to reinforce the historic and long-standing diplomatic relationship between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust.
