President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Speaker of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, on Wednesday during an official courtesy call at the Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster, London.

The meeting took place as part of President Dr Muizzu’s ongoing visit to the United Kingdom, which includes a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

According to a statement from the President’s Office, discussions during the meeting focused on deepening cooperation between the Maldives and the UK in key areas such as environmental protection, sustainable tourism, fisheries, and the promotion of democratic governance.

Following the courtesy call, President Dr Muizzu signed the official Guestbook and was given a guided tour of the historic Palace of Westminster.
