The newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Maldives to New Zealand, Mohamed Luveiz, presented his Letter of Credence to the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of New Zealand, The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, on Wednesday.
The official ceremony was held at Government House in Wellington, marking the formal commencement of Luveiz’s diplomatic tenure in New Zealand.
During the ceremony, High Commissioner Luveiz conveyed greetings and well wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro. He also reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the long-standing diplomatic ties and friendly relations between the Maldives and New Zealand.
High Commissioner Luveiz was accompanied by Jalala Saleem, Second Secretary at the High Commission of Maldives in Singapore.
President Dr Muizzu appointed Mohamed Luveiz as the Non-Resident High Commissioner to New Zealand on March 18, 2025. Luveiz currently serves as the Resident High Commissioner of the Maldives to Singapore.
