President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his condolences to the family of the 18-year-old who died on Thursday after falling from a tower at the Vinares housing complex.

In a post on X, the President expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, offering prayers for strength and patience for the grieving family. He also prayed for Allah’s mercy and eternal blessings for the deceased.

The youth reportedly fell from the eighth tower of the Vinares flats. He was taken to hospital but passed away while receiving treatment.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fall, and the circumstances remain unclear.
