Saeed Abdulla, the father of Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed, has passed away.

Following the news, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu offered his condolences in a message shared via his official X account.

In his message, the President expressed deep sadness over the passing and paid heartfelt tribute to Saeed Abdulla’s decades of dedicated service to the island administration of Haa Alif Thuraakunu, where he held senior positions for more than twenty years. He was described as a devout individual known for his good character and respected presence in the community.

The President also extended his prayers for the late Saeed Abdulla and conveyed heartfelt sympathies to his family, wishing them strength and patience during this time of grief.
