Bunkering services in the Maldives have generated MVR 157 million in revenue since launching in September 2024, with the highest monthly earnings in 2025 recorded in February, March, and April. Most revenue came from Kaafu Atoll, with smaller contributions from Noonu, Vaavu, and Ihavandhippolhu. The Government expects the initiative to contribute around USD 400 million to GDP and grow into a MVR 6 billion industry, with plans to expand services through local partnerships.
