The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has so far entered into agreements with more than 600 participants under its housing scheme, with the process expected to be completed within the next three months.

Agreement signings commenced on 21 July following the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure forwarding 2,665 names to the FDC for finalisation. Over the past three weeks, the corporation has concluded agreements with 640 allottees, with signing currently taking place at the Hulhumalé synthetic track area.

FDC has stated that it is accelerating the pace of signings to ensure all beneficiaries are finalised within the set timeframe. Particular emphasis is being placed on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents, which the corporation believes will help increase the number of agreements processed each day.

Efforts to streamline the process include expediting the verification of lists sent by the Ministry, reducing the time allowed for document submissions to the Fahi Portal, expanding the number of personnel involved, and providing additional training. At present, around 10 counters are operating at the synthetic track site to support faster processing.

Beneficiaries are required to upload the necessary documents to the Fahi Portal before attending the signing. The FDC has indicated its aim to hand over the flats by the end of September once agreements have been signed with all eligible participants in the housing scheme.
