Drugs seized in operations across Vilimalé, Kolhufushi, and Bileiydhoo

Police have recovered drugs in separate operations conducted in Vilimalé, Meemu Kolhufushi, and Faafu Bileiydhoo.
Acting on a tip-off, officers searched a flat in Vilimalé on 8 August and found a plastic bag containing suspected drugs with a provisional weight of 33.41 grams. No arrests have been made, and the case is being investigated by the Vilimalé Police Station.
A separate operation in Meemu Kolhufushi on 8 August, following a tip-off from the Counter Narcotics Intelligence Unit, led to the arrest of 30-year-old Ahmed Humaid. He was allegedly found with eight small sachets of drugs and has been remanded in custody for 30 days.
Meanwhile, in Faafu Bileiydhoo, police arrested 43-year-old Dawood Abdul Sattar on 7 August after he was stopped in the harbour area and found to have a sachet of suspected drugs. He has been remanded for 15 days.
Police confirmed that investigations into all three cases are ongoing.
