President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has departed for Baa Atoll on a four-day visit, during which he will visit 13 islands and meet with local communities.

The trip is part of the President’s pledge to visit all inhabited islands during his term and an initiative to engage directly with residents across the Maldives to assess development needs.

During the visit, President Dr Muizzu will meet with island councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss the development priorities. He will also hold meetings with residents and visit communities to hear their concerns.

The President is scheduled to visit Kamadhoo, Kudarikilu, Kendhoo, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Goidhoo, Fehendhoo, Fulhadhoo, Hithaadhoo, Kihaadhoo, Dhonfan, Dharavandhoo and Maalhos.

Several ministers and heads of government institutions are accompanying the President on the visit. His most recent atoll visit was to Noonu Atoll in July.
