The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour, and Skill Development is set to host Dhaalan 2024, the National Skills and Career Expo, on November 15 and 16 at Hulhumale' Central Park. This event aims to connect Maldivian youth with diverse employment opportunities, providing pathways for career advancement and skill development in various sectors.

Over 45 exhibitors, including colleges, institutes, state-owned companies, and industry participants, will present interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and engaging activities to help young professionals and students explore potential career paths. The expo will also feature discussions with prominent figures from various fields, sharing valuable insights into job opportunities and strategies for career growth.

In addition to showcasing higher education options, Dhaalan 2024 will focus on skill development, offering guidance in fields such as tourism, construction, sustainable development, and engineering. Private institutes and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) centers will also provide in-depth information on relevant training programs and qualifications.

The event is positioned as a significant milestone for youth in the Maldives, offering access to training and career guidance while promoting job readiness and awareness of educational opportunities in key sectors.
