President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Kudarikilu Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee to discuss the island’s development priorities as part of his ongoing tour of the atoll.

The discussions focused on planned projects aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, and public services. Among the key initiatives scheduled for later today are the ground breaking of the new health centre and the formal inauguration of ATM services on the island.

Council members and committee representatives briefed the President on ongoing challenges faced by the community, including infrastructure needs, service gaps, and economic opportunities. They also outlined proposals to address these issues and sought the Government’s support in accelerating project delivery.

President Dr Muizzu’s visit to Kudarikilu forms part of a broader initiative to engage with island communities, identify their needs, and enhance cooperation between the central government and local councils.
